Looking for a meeting venue with a difference? How about an organic working farm?

Finding a meeting room or a location for a training event or workshop can be a challenge, all the rooms can tend to look the same after a while and good luck if you find a place with parking. But there’s no need to worry - that perfect venue is based on a tranquil organic farm, just outside Chard close to the borders with Dorset, Somerset and Devon.

How can Magdalen help?

Magdalen Farm is a working organic farm, but it’s a whole lot more. And, when it comes to a venue for events and meetings, it’s a bit of a hidden secret. The truth is, organisations have been coming here (and coming back) for years. Maybe it’s our facilities and accommodation, we’re pretty certain our home-cooked organic food plays a big part too!

That venue with a difference is right here on the farm. Many organisations find that the welcoming and relaxed ambience of Magdalen brings out the best in people. We are pleased to offer team building activities and farm tours as optional extras, and a range of catering options.

Set in the peaceful surrounds of 132 acres of outstanding countryside our characterful venue facilities and meeting rooms are available on a day rate basis with access to WiFi, projectors and screens with whiteboards and flipcharts.  The Granary seats 60, the Smithy seats 20, and the straw-bale built Roundhouse seats 12 - all can be configured in classroom or conference style.  Additional break out spaces are available as well as access to a campfire and outdoor pizza oven!

For those organisations that want to stay overnight, we have rooms in our centre which sleeps up to 36 or our stunning Victorian farmhouse which can sleep up to 25.  Take a look at the "Accommodation Gallery" to see more of our facilities.

We provide homemade satisfying meals for our guests - with many of the ingredients coming direct from the farm. You have the option of self-catering, or being catered for by us.
