The evenings might be closing in - but there’s still plenty of daylight to enjoy the best in outdoor learning at Magdalen Farm.
We’ve been busy extending our play areas, developing new programmes and making that special Magdalen Farm menu even more nutritious and delicious! So, please spare a couple of minutes to see if we have something to meet your school’s learning needs:
Let Magdalen answer the questions your students want to know about. 3 new special investigation days are available that are all linked to the curriculum. Choose from Rivers Studies, Habitat Hunters or Environmental/Sustainability Days using practical, hands-on learning that only the outdoors can provide. Download full details here
Last year Magdalen invested in a brand new ‘back to nature’ inspired outdoor playground reflecting our natural woodland. It’s been a big hit across 2018 and now we’ve added a larger climbing frame and a zip wire. Free time activities are going to be even more fun and time will literally fly by!
After the feedback from our most recent teachers survey, we’ve changed the way lunches are offered on school residentials. As an alternative to sandwiches every day, we’ve introduced flans/ tarts on set days which uses not only Magdalen eggs but also seasonal vegetables from the farm.
Who says you have to stay in the classroom in December and January? There’s our ‘Survival in the Wild’ den building (with hot chocolate around the fire), team building games including orienteering, sensory activities and arts and crafts. What’s more, school residential trips staying with us in December and January receive a 10% discount.
