Families on the Farm Day Visit

Join us for a fun-filled Families on the Farm day visit, specially designed for families with children who have learning or physical disabilities. This exciting event offers a unique opportunity for families to come together and enjoy a day of engaging activities in a casual and inclusive environment.

Get ready to embark on a journey of discovery as you take part in a variety of activities. Explore the beautiful surroundings and learn about the environment through interactive and educational sessions. Our knowledgeable staff will be there to guide you and answer any questions you may have.

Activity Information

One of the highlights of the day is the chance to meet our friendly farm animals up close and personal. From curious goats to inquisitive chicken, you and your family will have the opportunity to interact with them, learning about their habits and characteristics.

Perhaps unleash your creativity with natures craft, where you can let your imagination run wild. Engage in hands-on activities and take home cherished memories of your day on the farm.

Catering and Accommodation

 A delicious home cooked lunch will be provided for everyone – just let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements and we will be only too happy to accommodate.
We hope that families make the most of their day and take the opportunity to enjoy family activities and have fun in great company.

About Us

Magdalen is a working organic farm set in the glorious countryside of Dorset & Somerset.  
At the heart of our farm is an education centre from which we offer activities with accommodation and delicious meals. Our aim is to encourage as many people as possible from all walks of life to enjoy the great outdoors.

All Terrain Wheelchair Hire

On-site we have 3 all-terrain wheelchairs (bookable in advance) to help those less able guests to get around the farm.
We also have a dedicated "Changing place" for those that may need it (please bring your own hoist if required).

Please book a wheelchair ticket if you require one.


We understand the importance of providing a comfortable and inclusive environment for families with children who have disabilities  will tailor the event to suit the needs of the individuals in the group so it is important you let us know in advance of any requirements you and your family may have.. Our dedicated staff is trained to accommodate various needs and ensure that everyone feels welcome and included throughout the event.
